Description
Self-Adhesive Reinforced EPDM Membrane 2.5mm
Full Bond Flat Roofing System | 10m Rolls | Available in 4 Widths
This 2.5mm self-adhesive reinforced EPDM membrane is the professional roofer's choice for full bond flat roof installations. Engineered with an integral glass fibre/fleece reinforcement layer, it delivers exceptional dimensional stability, superior puncture resistance, and a proven waterproofing performance that exceeds standard EPDM membranes. The factory-applied self-adhesive system eliminates the need for separate contact adhesives, dramatically cutting installation time without compromising bond integrity.
Fully elastic down to -40°C, UV and ozone resistant without additional surface protection, compatible with bitumen, and containing no chlorine or plasticisers — this membrane is built to outperform and outlast in all UK weather conditions. Each roll is 10 metres long and is available in four widths to suit gutters, detail work, and full flat roof decks.
Why This Membrane Outperforms Standard EPDM
Integral Glass Fibre / Fleece Reinforcement
Unlike non-reinforced membranes, the integrated glass scrim inlay provides outstanding dimensional stability and significantly enhanced puncture resistance. This prevents stretching and creep across the roof's service life — particularly critical on larger roof areas subject to thermal cycling.
Factory-Applied Full Bond Self-Adhesive System
The self-adhesive backing is precision-applied under factory conditions, delivering a consistent, reliable bond every time — no brush-applied adhesives, no pot life issues, no uneven coverage. Simply peel and bond. Full bond installation also creates outstanding wind uplift resistance, making this system ideal for exposed, high-wind locations.
Heat-Weldable Adhesion-Enabling Top Surface
The specialised adhesion-enabling top surface with glass scrim inlay allows subsequent layers and accessories to bond directly on many substrates. The heat-weldable capability ensures fully watertight lap joints when overlapping adjacent rolls — a critical advantage for long-term waterproofing integrity.
Zero Shrinkage Throughout Service Life
One of the most common causes of flat roof failure is long-term membrane shrinkage, pulling detailing away from upstands and edges. This reinforced membrane is engineered with no shrinkage throughout its entire service life — providing lasting protection at the most vulnerable areas of any flat roof.
Highly Slip Resistant — Even When Wet
The textured surface remains highly slip resistant even when wet, providing safe footing during installation and maintenance access. The membrane also withstands regular foot trafficking without damage, making it suitable for accessible flat roofs and walkways.

Ideal Applications
No Hot Works Required
Cold-applied single layer system. No naked flames, torches or hot-melt equipment required for bonding to the substrate — safer on-site, quicker to install, and no hot works permits needed.
Faster Installation vs. Traditional EPDM
The self-adhesive system eliminates the time-consuming contact adhesive application stage — significantly reducing labour time and on-roof drying time compared to conventional bonded EPDM systems.
Suitable for Overlay & Refurbishment
Compatible with bitumen and suitable for overlaying most existing roofing coverings — making it an excellent choice for refurbishment projects where stripping and disposal is not required or desired.
Outstanding Wind Uplift Resistance
Full bond installation creates a continuous, mechanically secure attachment to the roof deck — providing superior wind uplift resistance versus loose-laid or ballasted systems. Ideal for exposed locations and coastal properties.
Installation Guidance
Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be clean, dry, smooth, and free from contaminants, sharp protrusions, or loose material. Proper preparation is essential for achieving full adhesive activation and long-term bond strength.
Primer: A compatible primer may be required depending on substrate type and condition. Always refer to the technical datasheet for substrate-specific guidance before beginning installation.
Temperature & Weather: Install within the recommended temperature range. Avoid installation during wet conditions, heavy dew, or when frost is forecast, as moisture will compromise adhesive activation.
Laps & Detailing: Lap joints between adjoining rolls should be heat welded for a fully watertight seam. Use compatible tapes and detail accessories for upstands, drains, and edges to complete the waterproofing system.
Selecting the Right Width for Your Project
All rolls are 10 metres long. Select the most appropriate width to minimise seams and maximise coverage for your specific roof geometry:
| Roll Width | Roll Length | Coverage per Roll | Best Suited For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 333mm (0.33m) | 10m | 3.33 m² | Gutters, narrow channels, parapet linings |
| 500mm (0.5m) | 10m | 5.00 m² | Detail work, upstands, bay roofs |
| 666mm (0.66m) | 10m | 6.66 m² | Smaller flat roofs, porches, dormers |
| 1000mm (1.0m) | 10m | 10.00 m² | Extensions, garages, larger flat roofs |
Coverage Tip: Always calculate your total roof area (including all upstands and detailing) and add 10–15% for laps, waste and cutting. Where possible, choose a wider roll to reduce the number of joints and simplify installation.
