EPDM Industrial Roof Drain Connector – Deep-Set Bonded Outlet Spigot, 80–200mm

On a flat roof the outlet is often the first thing to fail — not because the membrane itself gives up, but because the outlet was never really part of it to begin with. A commercial EPDM roof deserves a drain connector made from the same material, bonded into the sheet rather than bolted through it, and built for the pipe depth a genuinely commercial roof buildup actually needs.

This deep-set drain connector is manufactured in black EPDM specifically to bond into EPDM membrane installations, giving a fully compatible, single-material seal at the point where water leaves the roof. A 600mm pipe depth carries the connection well down through a warm-roof buildup — insulation, deck, vapour control layer — so the joint sits below deck level rather than fighting for space in a shallow upstand. The cone-shaped spigot and smooth bonding flange are designed to be lapped and bonded directly into the field membrane with a compatible EPDM adhesive, giving a fully bonded-in outlet rather than a mechanically clamped fitting that relies on a separate gasket to stay watertight.

Where it's used

This connector is built for roofs with a real drainage load: warehouses, retail units, schools, apartment blocks and other commercial or multi-occupancy buildings where a flat roof needs to shed a genuine volume of water reliably — not a garden building or porch roof. It suits both new-build EPDM installations and major refurbishment projects where the existing outlet and downpipe connection are being replaced as part of a re-roof.

Available in nine diameters from 80mm up to 200mm, so you can match the connector to the existing downpipe or soil stack rather than adapting the pipework to fit the outlet. Every size is supplied as a single connector with a 600mm pipe depth and EPDM construction throughout, chosen for its resistance to UV, ozone and the weathering a roof-level fitting is exposed to over decades of service.

Installation guidance

Position the connector at the lowest point of the roof's falls — most commercial roofs need more than one outlet, so plan positions before ordering rather than after the membrane is down. Cut the membrane to the spigot, prime both surfaces with a compatible EPDM primer, and bond the connector flange into the field membrane using a contact or water-based adhesive rated for EPDM-to-EPDM bonding. Dress the surrounding membrane down onto the flange and finish with a compatible seam sealant around the bond line for extra assurance in a high-wear area. Below deck, connect the 600mm pipe to the existing downpipe or soil stack using standard pipe-jointing methods.
