Description

Corrugated box-profile sheeting does the job on a workshop roof, but for a garden room, extension or anywhere the roof will actually be seen, its ridges read as agricultural. Standing seam cladding is the alternative professional installers reach for: a smooth, flat pan between raised, interlocking seams, with every fixing concealed beneath the seam itself, so the finished roof or wall shows nothing but clean lines.

Each sheet is roll-formed from polymer-coated steel and supplied cut to your specified length, ready to interlock along its standing seams with the next sheet — no exposed screw heads anywhere on the visible face, which is both the look and the reason standing seam roofs shed water and resist wind-driven rain so well.

Key benefits

  • Concealed-fix standing seam profile — no visible fixings on the weather face
  • Flat, ribless pan for a smooth, contemporary roof or wall finish
  • Durable polymer-coated 0.7mm steel, supplied cut to length
  • Two neutral colourways selected for stock availability, to suit modern or traditional settings
  • Matching trims, flashings and fixings available to complete the installation

Suitable applications

Garden room, garage, extension and outbuilding roofs; low-pitch mono-pitch and lean-to roofs; feature wall cladding and dormer cheeks; refurbishment over an existing pitched roof structure. Suitable wherever a concealed-fix, premium metal finish is wanted in place of a visible-fix corrugated or box-profile sheet.

Installation guidance

Standing seam roofing is fitted onto a solid deck or supporting battens, with each sheet's seam engaging and folding over the next to form a continuous weathertight run — this is a job for a competent roofer or a confident, experienced DIYer, not a first metal-roofing project. Order matching ridge, verge, eaves and corner flashings alongside the panels rather than improvising junctions on site. For a warm-roof build-up beneath the sheeting, our PIR insulation board and vapour control layer give a complete deck buildup, and our aluminium box gutter system is a natural drainage pairing at the eaves.

FAQs

How is this different from box profile or corrugated steel sheeting?
Box profile and corrugated sheets are fixed through the sheet face with visible screws; standing seam panels interlock along raised seams with every fixing hidden, giving a smooth, ribless, premium finish.

Can I fit this myself?
Experienced DIYers with roofing or cladding experience can, but the seaming process needs the right tool and technique — a dedicated seaming tool is required and is not included with the sheets.

What pitch does it need?
Standing seam systems are typically suitable down to very low pitches (consult the fixing specification for your exact roof pitch and exposure before ordering, as minimum pitch varies with seam type and sealing method).

Are other colours available?
We've launched with Slate Grey and Nordic Black, the two fastest-dispatch stock colours. Tile Red and Fir Green are available from the same range — contact us if you need one of these and we'll add it to your order.

Will the colour fade?
The polymer coating is designed for long-term UK outdoor exposure and colour stability, though as with any coated steel product some gradual weathering is normal over decades.

Ordering

Order sheets cut to your exact rafter/run length in one of the seven standard lengths shown, or contact us for cut-to-size outside this range. Add 1 sheet per 500mm of roof width required, allowing for end laps and seam engagement.
