Description
Lay porcelain paving or timber decking straight onto a flat EPDM roof and every rain shower turns into standing water with nowhere to go. Raise it on adjustable pedestals instead and the paving becomes a free-draining, serviceable terrace: water runs beneath the slabs to the roof outlets, the waterproofing membrane stays fully inspectable, and the whole surface can be lifted in sections if a repair is ever needed underneath.
Each pedestal is a smooth-adjusting polypropylene support rated to 1100kg, supplied as standard with a 3mm paving spacer and a fixed head — ideal for levelling paving or decking across the height range shown below on an uneven or gently sloping roof deck, balcony or podium. Supplied in trade packs of 50 so a whole terrace can be ordered in one go rather than piecing together single units.

How do I know which height range I need? Measure the finished paving/decking height above your roof deck at its lowest point after allowing for falls; choose the pedestal band that covers that measurement with room for fine adjustment — each pedestal adjusts smoothly within its stated range.
Will this work over an EPDM membrane? Yes — pedestals sit directly on top of a fully cured EPDM or other single-ply membrane without penetrating it, which is the main reason this system suits roof terraces rather than fixed screed beds.
What paving or decking can these support? Porcelain paving, concrete slabs, natural stone, timber and composite decking are all suitable; timber and composite decking normally need an additional joist adaptor head (sold separately) rather than sitting straight on the standard head.
Do I need anything else to level a sloping roof deck? Slope correction head pieces click onto the standard head to compensate for falls of a few degrees — check your roof's fall before ordering if it exceeds a gentle slope.
How many pedestals do I need per m²? As a guide, standard porcelain paving slabs are typically supported on a grid with a pedestal at every corner, so pack quantities should be planned against your specific paving size and layout.
