Description
Most gutter ranges are built for a semi-detached roof and a modest amount of rainfall. A 30-metre run on a livestock barn or a steel-clad workshop asks for something with more wall thickness and a bigger internal channel — which is exactly the gap this system fills. It's a genuine 150mm half-round galvanised steel profile, sized for the water volumes that come off a large agricultural or industrial roof span, not a domestic aluminium gutter pressed into a job it was never specified for.
Galvanised steel earns its place on farm buildings, grain stores, riding arenas and steel-portal-frame units because it shrugs off knocks from ladders, feed trailers and livestock in a way that thin-wall plastic and even aluminium can struggle with, while the zinc coating protects the steel against corrosion in exposed rural sites. Installation notes
Gutter lengths join with a push/clip-fit connection system — no welding or sealant needed at the joints. Fix with fascia or rafter brackets at roughly 800mm centres (brackets are a standard roofline fixing, sold separately). Falls should run to the downpipe outlet at the manufacturer's recommended minimum gradient for a run of this length; on long agricultural runs, plan for a downpipe roughly every 15–18m of gutter to keep up with peak rainfall volumes.

Will this fit my existing aluminium or uPVC brackets?
No — this is a genuine 150mm half-round steel profile and needs brackets sized and rated for it. Use steel-compatible fascia or rafter brackets at 800mm centres.
Can I mix this with the store's aluminium or cast iron guttering ranges?

Does the coating protect against rust?
Yes — the steel carries a galvanised zinc coating for corrosion protection, the standard finish specified for agricultural and industrial guttering. Avoid contact with fresh, uncured concrete or cement, which can attack the zinc coating during installation.
How many downpipes does a typical building need?
As a rule of thumb, plan one 100mm downpipe roughly every 15–18 linear metres of gutter run, more on steeper or larger roof spans — a groundworker or the building's structural engineer can confirm exact numbers for high-rainfall areas.
