A fixed rooflight solves a dark room. It doesn't solve a hot one.
Kitchens under flat roofs, bathrooms without opening windows, extensions that trap summer heat — what they need is a rooflight that opens, and opening a roof-level window by hand isn't practical.
This skylight opens at the press of a wall switch: a 24v chain actuator quietly lifts the glass up to 300mm, pulling warm, humid air straight out through the roof.
The unit itself is a slim anthracite grey aluminium frame with thermally efficient double glazing — solar-control glass over a 20mm 90%-argon cavity with a warm-edge spacer — sitting on a kerb upstand exactly like a fixed rooflight, with your EPDM or other membrane dressed up the kerb beneath it.
Triple rubber seals keep it weathertight when closed; a 10-year leak-proof warranty backs it up.

Installation & ordering guidance
The skylight mounts on a kerb upstand around your roof opening, wired to its wall switch by your electrician during installation.
On an EPDM roof, dress the membrane up the kerb before fitting: prime with our EPDM Rubber Roof Primer, bond with EPDM Contact Adhesive and finish the top edge with our Aluminium Termination Bar.
Choose your glass tint by room orientation: Solar for all-round performance, Blue or Bronze for a warmer aesthetic, Grey for maximum glare reduction on south-facing rooms.

The unit closes at the press of its wall switch.
Optional rain and wind sensors that close it automatically exist for this product family — contact us if you'd like automated closing included with your order.
Does it need an electrician?
Yes — the 24v actuator and wall switch need wiring to mains via a transformer, a straightforward job for a qualified electrician during installation.
How far does it open?
Up to 300mm at the actuator — enough for effective stack-effect ventilation, while remaining a ventilation opening rather than an access opening.
