Description
A cracked or damaged patch on an otherwise sound GRP roof doesn't need a whole new laminate — it needs the same resin-and-matting system that built the roof in the first place, in a size that makes sense for a repair rather than a full re-lay. This kit gives you a genuine GRP lamination repair: fibreglass matting, resin and topcoat to properly patch a damaged area, not just a surface paint that hides the problem without reinforcing it.
Unlike a crack-bridging paint, this kit rebuilds the laminate itself — cut a patch of matting to size, wet it out with resin over the damaged area, and finish with a topcoat colour-matched to grey GRP. It's the right tool for splits, punctures, delaminated patches and areas where the glass fibre reinforcement itself has failed, not just surface crazing.

Ordering & installation guidance
Clean and dry the damaged area, cut back any loose or delaminated laminate, and cut the matting to overlap the sound roof by at least 75mm on all sides. Wet the matting out with resin, roll out air bubbles, and finish with the topcoat once cured. FAQ
Is this the same as a crack-bridging paint?
No — this kit uses real fibreglass matting and resin to rebuild the laminate structurally, rather than just painting over a surface crack. For fine surface crazing only, our paint-only crack repair kit is a faster option.
Will the repair be visible?
The topcoat is colour-matched to standard grey GRP, but a patch repair will typically show as a slightly different texture or sheen compared to the surrounding roof — it restores waterproofing, not invisible cosmetic finish.
What temperature do I need for application?
Apply in dry conditions above roughly 5°C for proper cure, following the guidance included with the kit.
