Description

A flat roof doesn't have to mean a dark room beneath it. A fixed dome rooflight floods the space below with natural daylight — and on a garage conversion, extension, garden room or commercial flat roof, that single change does more for the room than any amount of artificial lighting.

This polycarbonate fixed dome is the straightforward, proven way to do it. The double-skin dome provides an insulating air gap while letting daylight through across its whole area, and the fixed (non-opening) design keeps the unit simple, secure and permanently weathertight. It sits on a kerb upstand, with your roof membrane dressed up the kerb — which makes it a natural companion to an EPDM roof, where the membrane forms a clean, sealed junction around the base.

Key benefits

  • Virtually unbreakable polycarbonate glazing — far more impact-resistant than glass, with no risk of shattering
  • Double-skin construction creates an insulating air layer between the room and the sky
  • Fixed, non-opening design: nothing to fail, nothing to force, permanently weathertight
  • Dome profile sheds rainwater and debris naturally rather than letting it sit
  • Nine sizes from 600 × 600mm up to 1200 × 1200mm to suit anything from a hallway to a large living space

Suitable applications

Flat-roofed extensions, garden rooms and offices, garage conversions, porches, commercial and industrial flat roofs — any EPDM, felt or single-ply flat roof where you want daylight without a full lantern or opening window.

Sizes available

  • 600 × 600mm
  • 600 × 900mm
  • 600 × 1200mm
  • 750 × 750mm
  • 750 × 900mm
  • 900 × 900mm
  • 900 × 1200mm
  • 1050 × 1050mm
  • 1200 × 1200mm

Sizes refer to the roof opening/kerb size the dome is designed to fit — measure your structural opening before ordering.

Installation & ordering

The dome fixes to a kerb upstand around the roof opening, with your waterproofing membrane dressed up and over the kerb before the dome is secured. On an EPDM roof, our membrane, adhesives and trims complete the junction — and if you're building the roof with our roof kit calculator, add the rooflight opening as a skylight void to get the membrane and upstand allowance right. If you're unsure which size suits your opening, contact us before ordering.
